Raw Material Cellulose
CELLULOSE – A Renewable Raw Material Cellulose is the main component of vegetable cell walls and thus the most common organic compound on earth. In the raw material wood, cellulose together with lignin and other components are contained in the cell wall. Cellulose Pulp is produced by breaking down fibers which predominantly consist of cellulose.
ECOPATENT® containers are almost entirely made of cellulose pulp that is produced from shredded wood by using an alkaline sulfate process and is 100 % biodegradable.
